Patrice Phinney Turner is an elementary school counselor and former kindergarten teacher with over thirty-five years’ experience working with young children. Her passion is empowering young children to believe in their inner strength. She graduated from the University of Maine in child development and went on to graduate as a literacy specialist with a master’s and as a school counselor with both a master’s and a CAS. Patrice hopes her writing will inspire young children to live with love and strength in their hearts. Walk in the Woods with Me is her first book. Patrice lives with her husband in Lincoln, Maine, near her childhood home and next door to her daughter and family.
British-born Emily, who now lives in Cape Town, South Africa, loves telling stories with both words and pictures. Emily works best with a giant mug of tea in one hand and her drawing pencil in the other, following the sun around the house like her cat, Muffin. Her work is inspired by the quirkiness of everyday relationships and her love of the outdoors. Learn more about her work at www.emilyhousedesign.com.
